Joh. 21: 15-19
Kun he olivat syöneet, Jeesus sanoi Simon Pietarille: "Simon, Johanneksen poika, rakastatko sinä minua enemmän kuin nämä toiset?" "Rakastan, Herra", Pietari vastasi, "sinä tiedät, että olet minulle rakas." Jeesus sanoi: "Ruoki minun karitsoitani." Sitten hän kysyi toistamiseen: "Simon, Johanneksen poika, rakastatko minua?" "Rakastan, Herra", Pietari vastasi, "sinä tiedät, että olet minulle rakas." Jeesus sanoi: "Kaitse minun lampaitani."

The Bible is one of the best gifts human being has
ever received from God, the Creator of the Universe. /
This is because it conveys to us whatever God
planed for us to know about Him. If we ask our selves
this morning that what is the Bible for each one of
us, we may come up with many different answers depend
on what each one of us knows./

Raamattu on yksi Jumalan, maailmankaikkeuden luojan parhaimmista lahjoista joita ihminen on saanut. Näin on, koska se välittää sen, minkä Jumala on suunnitellut tarpeelliseksi meidän tietää hänestä. Jos me kysymme itseltämme tänä aamuna, mitä raamattu itse kullekin meistä merkitsee, me voimme päätyä erilaisiin vastauksiin riippuen siitä, mitä kukin meistä tietää./

But let me read to you some of the notable sayings
about the Bible through the history. These sayings
were said by some of the famous people in the ancient
and the modern history./

ABRAHAM LINCOLN said about the Bible the following,
" I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever
given to the human being; all the good from the Savior
of the World is communicated to us through this
book"./

Pres. Abraham Lincoln sanoi Raamatusta seuraavaa: “Uskon, että Raamattu on paras lahja, jonka Jumala on koskaan antanut ihmiselle: kaikki hyvä on välitetty meille maailman Vapahtajasta tämän kirjan kautta.”

GEORGE WASHINGTON said about the Bible that "it is
impossible to govern the World without God and the
Bible"./

Pres.

CHARLES DICKENS also said about the Bible that "
The New Testament is very best book that ever was or
ever will be known in the World./

In addition to that, IMMANUEL KANT said that "The
experience of the Bible, as a book for the people, is,
the greatest benefit which the human race has ever
experienced"./

Tämän lisäksi, filosofi IK sanoi, että kokemus Raamatusta kirjana on ihmisille suurin hyöty mitä ihmiskunta on koskaan kokenut.

If we look carefully to these examples, we find
that they are the results of experiences as these
people deal with the Bible./

Jos me katsomme huolellisesti näitä esimerkkejä, me havaitsemme, että nämä ovat näiden ihmisten kokemusten tuloksia, kun he ovat olleet tekemisissä Raamatun kanssa.

Although these sayings are very helpful to us today
in thinking of our own experiences, it also important
to give some examples of what the Bible says about
itself. This is because the Bible is not only speaking
to us about God, but it also speaks about itself as
anyone of us can speak about his/her self./

In Matt. 4:4, the Bible speaks of itself as a
bread, here Jesus says that "it is written human does
not live on the bread alone, but on every Word that
comes from the mouth of God". As God gave the
Israelites MANNA in a supernatural way (Dt. 8:3), so
also human beings must rely on God for spiritual
feeding. Jesus relied on His Father, not his own
miracle power for provision of food./

Matt. 4:4 Raamattu puhuu itsestään leipänä, tässä Jeesus sanoo, ettei ihminen elä ainoastaan leivästä, vaan jokaisesta sanasta joka lähtee Jumalan suusta” Kuten Jumala antoi israelilaisille mannaa yliluonnollisella tavalla, niiin myös ihmisten täytyy luottaa Jumalaan saadakseen hengellistä ravintoa. Jeesus luotti Isäänsä, ei hänen omaan ihmevoimaansa jakaakseen ruokaa.

In Heb.4:12, The Bible speaks of it self as Sword
to indicate that the Bible is not just a collection of
books we read when ever we want to read them. But it
is the Word of God, that is active and able to change
our own ways and lives to God's ways and will. It
works inside as it convicts as for our own false
doings and weaknesses, and for our need to the Savior
who is able to help us in any situation./

The Bible also speaks of it self in 1Pet.2:2 as
spiritual milk. The Greek for this phrase is the
standard term for the desirable growth of Children./

Raamattu puhuu myös itsestään 1 Piet. 2:2 hengellisenä maitona. Kreikkalainen ilmaisu on vakiosanonta Jumalan lasten halutulle kasvulle.

Medical Doctors may agree with me that each child
needs milk to grow, the need of growing and becoming
an adult like their parents. Any healthful child needs
milk to grow./

Jokainen terve lapsi tarvitsee maitoa kasvaakseen.

The children of God too want to grow in the knowledge and experience of their Father God Almighty./

Finally, the Bible again speaks of it self as a
lamp and light in Ps.119: 105, as the psalmist says:
"Your Word is a lamp to my feed and a light for my
path". Here we have two important things in our daily
lives, lamp and light. If we don't have light and lamp
we can not see or distinguish between things. And in
this way we may do things, which we did not intent to
do./

Ja tällä tavalla me voimme tehdä asioita, mitä me emme ole aikoneet tehdä.

>From these verses, I think the Bible speaks of it self
as important as the things we need everyday; bread,
Sword, milk, light and lamp.  For these reasons, we
may conclude that we need to read and  study the Bible
everyday./

The Bible is God's word allthough there are different views of how the Bible´s books game to the present form./

Raamattu on Jumalan sanaa, vaikka on olemassa eri näkemyksiä siitä, kuinka Raamatun kirjat saivat nykyisen muotonsa

And also there are different viewes of how much the Bible is to be interpreted.

But if we take the Bible as what a appears to be we will find that there is a unity of thought indicating that they are in inspired books.

There is a present-day view, held rather among
intellectual circle, that the Bible is a sort of
age-long story of human's effort to find God; a record
of human's experiences recording after God's gradually
improving his idea of God by building on the
experience of preaching generation./

Nykypäivänä Raamattua pidetään ehkäpä älyllisissä piireissä eräänlaisena ikivanhana kertomuksena siitä, kuinka ihminen on pyrkinyt löytämään Jumalan. Sitä saatetaan pitää ihmisten kokemusten arkistona, kokemuksena, jossa Jumala kehittää ilmoitustaan Raamatun ajan henkilöiden varaan.

According to this view, the Bible is reduced to
the level of other books, and is made to appear, not a
Divine book, but a human book, pretending to be
Divine./

I believe the Bible is not a human account of his
effort to find God, but rather and account of God;
effort to reveal Himself to human: God's own record of
His dealing with human, in His unfolding revelation of
himself to human beings./

The books of the Bible were composed by human
authors, and it is even not known who some of these
authors were. Nor it is known how God directed their
authors to write. But it is asserted that God did
direct them and these books must be exactly what he
wanted them to be./

Raamatun kirjat laadittiin ihmisten kirjoittamana, eikä edes kaikkia kirjoittajia tunneta.

There is a different between the Bible and all
other books. The authors of other books may pray for
God's help and guidance, and there are many good
books, in the World, which unmistakably God has helped
the authors to write. But even so, the Bible is
written by holy men of God to convey God's Word to
each of us./

It is amazing that each of us reads the Bible in his/her own tongue and other languages. For this reason each one of us ought to love the Bible. Everybody ought to be a regular reader of the Bible. Everyone ought to strive to live by the Bible 's teaching. The Bible ought to have central place in the
life and working of every church, and in every pulpit./

The message of the Bible is a message of freedom in
Christ Jesus, and we have the task of proclamation of
freedom in Christ./

Raamatun sanoma on sanoma vapaudesta Jeesuksessa Kristuksessa, ja meidän tehtävämme on julistaa vapautta Kristuksessa.

The proclamation of the Word of God is a human act.
It is an act of witness to the truth. It is based on
the Biblical text, and employs the medium of
language.
/

Jumalan sanan julistaminen on ihmisen tehtävä.

The content of the proclamation of the Word of God
is rich and deep. It is also fundamentally simple. It
is the gospel glad tiding of God's faithfulness to
human and the entire creation in all their broken
circumstances./

We have the privilege to preach this message of
love and freedom, which God has given, has to
reconcile the World to Himself. For this reason says
to all the disciples that go to the World and preach
the Gospel to all human kind and baptize them in the
Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit./

Thanks be to God for the people He has used to
write, collect, put together and translate the books
of the Bible we have today in our hands into different
languages and tongues./

Kiitos Jumalle niistä ihmisistä, joita hän on käyttänyt kirjoittamaan, kokoamaan, ja kääntämään Raamatun kirjoja, joka on meidän käsissämme tänään eri kielisinä.

May the Lord of the Church is praised always as we
serve Him in his church and read, study and preach His
message to all human kind in all corners of the
World./

Olkoon kirkon Herra ylistetty aina, kun me palvelemme häntä hänen kirkossa ja luemme, tutkimme ja saarnaamme hänen sanomaansa kaikille luoduille kaikissa maailman kolkissa.

AMEN!
